Year after year, the Mike Reid Memorial Softball Tournament raises money for the kids of MacKay Centre School. The money raised goes directly to funding activities and outings for the kids. In the 40 years of the tournament, we have a huge following and the weekend has grossed more than $1 million dollars. Thank you for your continued support of the Tournament and the kids of MacKay.

Remembering Emmett Kearney

The Mike Reid Memorial Softball Tournament is deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing yesterday of our longtime friend Emmett Kearney.

A founding member of Pouteam, Emmett's participation in and significant contribution to our tournament date back several decades. He embodied the spirit of our tournament; always able to bring people together with his stories, his larger than life personality, and his abundant generosity.

Our sincere condolences go out to his daughter Emma, family, Pouteam, his many friends, and his beloved dog, Tucker.
