Wade Wilson, Chairman of the Mike Reid Tournament, announces that the 40th annual Mike Reid Memorial Softball Tournament will be played August 8 to 11, 2024 at Empire Park in Greenfield Park, Quebec.

Mullins Sports was a huge supporter of our tournament and many other sports teams and tournaments in Greenfield Park. Owner Brendan Mullins retired late last year and he will be missed.

The annual Mike Reid Memorial Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser took place April 27, 2019 at Scotyz Bar in St-Hubert. More than 120 people turned out for the some great food and fun. Did you miss it?

The ribbon cutting cerimony took place on September 25, 2018 for the opening of the new Mackay Centre and Philip E. Layton schools. The new location is on Terrebonne Street in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. The state-of-the-art building will be the school for 175 students between the ages of four and twenty-one with physical, auditory, visual and other impairments.

August 2018
The Mackay Center School moved in August 2018 from their location on Decarie Boulevard to their new and larger location in NDG. It was ready in time for the 2018/19 school year.

The Mike Reid Division 'B' Trophy went missing a few years ago. We replaced it but there are many missing team names. Is your team name missing on the trophy? The missing years are 2011 to 2004, 1997 to 1991, 1988, and 1985. Please help us fill in the blanks! If you can help, please contact Ron Zinn.

The Annual Mike Reid Spaghetti dinner fundraiser is always a spring event to look forward to. This year we raised $1,600.00 for the tournament. The fundraiser took place at Scotyz Bar in St-Hubert.

The MacKay Centre Team participating at the Défi Sportif at the Claude Robillard Center in Montréal. The Mackay Center kids won three games and the Gold Medal in the hockey competition! The money you so generously donate at the Mike Reid Tournament helps make these outings possible.

Aaron's smile and personality has touched so many people at ou tournament. Aaron was heavily involved in all types of sports including soccer, softball and the Special Olympics. He will be remembered at the Mike Reid Tournament as the back to back to back MVP of LNDB Challengers game at the tournament.

The Mackay Center Team played in the 2017 St-Bruno Challenge Cup, July 6-9 in St-Bruno. This is the brother event to the Mike Reid Tournament where money raised goes to the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation. Many teams participating in the Mike Reid Tournament also play in the event.

It was a happy day on October 27, 2016 when Mike Reid tournament organizers Wade Wilson and Brenda Philp presented a check for $30,000.00 to the MacKay Center School.

November 2, 2016
The ceremonial groundbreaking for the new Mackay Centre took place on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. Mike Reid Foundation Chairman, Wade Wilson was invited to participate in the ceremony.

Mike Reid Tournament Chairman, Wade Wilson appeared on Global News Morning with Kim Sullivan on August 8, 2016 to promote the 2016 tournament. During the interview, Wade revealed some surprising stats for the event, saying that the tournament goes through 160 dozen hotdogs, 100 dozen sausages and 450 cases of beer. Those are some stats we wanted to hear!

Kathryn Reid was recognized by the City of Longueuil for her years of volunteering for the Mike Reid Foundation. Kathryn was presented the award at the Longueuil City Hall on April 15th 2015.
