Year after year, the Mike Reid Memorial Softball Tournament raises money for the kids of MacKay Centre School. The money raised goes directly to funding activities and outings for the kids. Below are just a few examples of how your donations helped the kids. Thank you for your continued support of the Tournament and the kids of MacKay.
Students from Cycle 1 and Cycle 3 went to Quinn Farm and had a great day picking apples.
Pre-K and Kindergarten also went to Quinn Farm but this time they went to pick pumpkins.
In October students from Philip E. Layton and Mackay Centre school went to the Atwater market to look around and buy a pumpkin for Halloween.
The Aug Com class went on their annual trip to Camp Massawippi in November. Accompanied by students from Lower Canada College, the students went for nature walks, had a camp fire, enjoyed some roasted marshmallows and played in the snow.
What is Christmas without a trip to the Mall and a visit with Santa. Several classes shopping and had lots of fun exploring, shopping and seeing Santa.
This year, students from Philip E. Layton as well as some Mackay Centre School students experienced skating and hockey thanks to a partnership with the Canadian Blind Hockey Association.
A bunch of Mackay students went to skate at LCC with the Leadership class.
Right before the 2020 March break, students from the Mackay Centre School went to the bowling alley to have some fun.
