For many years there were a lot of the out of towners that would come in for the Mike Reid Softball Tournament and play golf on the Friday of the tournament so we decided why not extend it to everyone and hold a golf tournament? We started back in 2011 with 136 golfers. It was a success that we never dreamed of. We re-named it to the Frank Reid Memorial after Mike’s dad passed away from Dementia. The 5th Annual Frank Reid Memorial Golf Tournament took place in 2015 and the amount of golfers increased to an incredible amount of 160 golfers. The tournament is always a wonderful day with alot of laughs, prizes with a barbecue held back at Pierre-Laporte Park. Over the years, we have even witnessed 2 golfers get a hole in one. How many people can say that!
